About

Demondrille Merino Stud is located in Harden, in the Southwest Slopes of NSW. The area has an average annual rainfall of 600mm.

The stud was founded in 1983 and is run by third generation wool growers Patrick and Andrew Davis.

Prior to founding the stud the Davis family had been breeding Fine Wool Merinos since 1942.

The flock had been using Tulangi Stud Flock No. 996 continually since 1951.

Demondrille Merinos adapt very well in mixed farming enterprises, they are very well nourished white wool sheep with the ability to keep the dust out.

As well as being big framed, heavy wool cutters they have wool quality and skins to handle all conditions in any location, including the wetter conditions down south.

The stud ewe breeding flock of 1050 grown ewes has an average fleece weight of just over 7kg and 18 microns for the 5 year average.
